Rocks, Minerals, and Fossils Show-and-Tell – Driftless Area Education and Visitors Center
Human history only goes back a few thousand years, but Earth’s geologic history goes back 500 million years just at the
surface in Allamakee County! Assistant Naturalist Melissa will reveal the stories hidden in everyday rocks, using examples
from her own collections. Have a collection of your own? Bring in a rock, mineral, or fossil for a brief audience
show-and-tell! This program is open to all ages; children must be accompanied by an adult.
A full schedule of upcoming events hosted by the Allamakee County Conservation Board and the Driftless Area Education
and Visitors Center is available by following the ACCB on Facebook. To receive more information on this event or any
