Migratory Bird Day – Effigy Mounds National Monument

May 2 10 a.m. – Join local birder Dennis Kirschbaum for a birding adventure on the Yellow River
Boardwalk. The entire path is paved or on a boardwalk.

• May 9 10 a.m. – Join park staff for a family birding walk. This walk will take the same path as
May 2 but will be geared to young birders. Visitors can also participate in a variety of hands-on
activities to learn more about migratory birds in the visitor center 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
