Foundational Skills Group Dog Training – Paws Up
Welcome to Paws Up Foundational Skills Group Dog Training! Our comprehensive 6-week program is designed to train you to train your dog. We are here to support you through all the phases of raising your dog. The Foundational Skills Group Training focuses on learning and re-enforcing basic commands. Each week you will build on the skills learned in the previous week. In addition your pup will learn socialization skills and best of all – the bond will strengthen between you and your pup. What more could you ask for?
Our intention is to provide you with the skills you need to raise a great K9 citizen. To do that – we keep our class size small – no more than 3 to 4 dogs per training group. This allows Ashlee, our trainer, to spend quality one-on-one time with each human giving you the opportunity for individualized help each week.
- Week 1: Orientation for humans with our trainer, covering training principles and preparing you for the sessions ahead.
- Weeks 2-6: Interactive sessions for dogs, their humans, and the trainer, focusing on:
- Sit, stay, and recall commands
- Leash walking and heel
- Socialization with other dogs and people
- Basic problem-solving for common behavioral issues
To secure your spot, please submit payment via our website or stop in at the store. A registration form is required once payment is received. All dogs must be fully vaccinated, and proof of vaccinations must accompany the registration form.
I also have private training sessions for those that want individualized training.
