Campfire/ cast iron cooking at YRSF

Gene Buss had a passion for campfire cooking and he loved to share his knowledge. Gene has passed away, but his friends are excited to keep his legacy alive and share his recipes and tasty treats.
Activities will be at Little Paint Campground, Site 72, We will have breakfast, lunch, and early supper, 8 am to 7 pm, stop by anytime! There will be at least three cooks, maybe more. The menu will likely include breakfast mess, biscuits and gravy, egg muffins, coffee, a reflector-baked turkey, Gene’s Yellow River beans, monkey bread, a cobbler, apple fritters, pulled pork sandwiches, various potatoes, and more. They will be demonstrating throughout the day including cast iron pans and dutch ovens, as well as reflector ovens (made with heavy aluminum foil and a tripod). He will have plenty of samples to share.
Bring a chair and hang out for a little bit or a long while!
