Businesses have overnight delivery access to more than one-fourth of the U.S. population. There is one- to two-day transport by truck to 11 major U.S. cities. Railroad spurs are available in Harpers Ferry, Lansing, New Albin, and Postville. The Central Time Zone helps managers communicate with the East and West Coasts by phone or fax.

Major Waterways/Barges

The Mississippi River has a navigation channel with a minimum depth of 9 feet. Barges can transport on the river from mid-March to mid-November.

Railspur possibilities exist in the communities of New Albin, Postville, and Lansing.

Canadian Pacific and Dakota, Minnesota & Eastern Rail Roads are located in Allamakee County.  Connections with all Class I carriers are conveniently made throught gateways at Chicago, Minneapolis and Kansas City.
