Hacker Nelson & Co. is a public accounting firm serving a diverse base of clients from three Iowa locations: Decorah, New Hampton, and Waukon. Hacker Nelson & Co. has evolved from the partnership formed in the 1950’s to become the largest locally-owned accounting firm in Northeast Iowa.

Hacker Nelson & Co. currently has eight principals and over 40 full-time employees. We believe our employees are our most valuable asset and we treat all employees and clients with respect and courtesy. Our firm continues to grow with a strong emphasis toward retaining and recruiting self-motivated, dedicated personnel and we are excited for what the future has in store!

We have made a strong commitment to education and technology and strive to be leaders in our profession and communities. Our professional staff believes in staying abreast of current tax, accounting, auditing and industry changes and standards to tackle any financial and/or professional goals our clients may have. Although our professional staff are required to obtain 40 hours of continuing professional education each year, many go above and beyond that requirement in order to meet the quality of service our clients expect.
