Empty Nest Winery is family owned and operated.  Set in beautiful rural Northeast Iowa located west of Waukon.  Handcrafted wines made in small batches using grapes and several varieties of berries handpicked predominantly on our family farm and from the surrounding area.  Sample up to 13 wines in our tasting room on Fridays from 4-8 (summer only), Saturdays from 10-5 and Sundays from 1-5.

We also offer an Event room that seats 125 for any kind of party, reunion, meeting, reception or wedding.

Annual Blind Wine Tasting event is held the second weekend in February.

WHAT IS BLIND WINE TASTING?

You’re invited to taste our new wines, sangrias & ciders in three categories to try to guess what fruit/ingredients they are made from (the “blind” part). The best part is YOU are the judge & vote for your favorites. Door prizes are awarded every hour, ballots are counted & winners are announced. So.. grab some friends & get to the winery for this FUN Annual Event where YOU have the power to choose the next wines we make! Tasting Admission $5/person, 1 time through food buffet $5/person
