The coalition discussed the following on Thursday, December 19 at noon via zoom.

  • Working on collecting $20,000 in outstanding pledges
  • $208,000 available for 2025
  • Child Care Centers (Postville complete, Growing Bear in process) sending letters to families with fund information
  • Attend sport quads within the county to get information out on coalition
  • Attend spring concerts within the county to distribute coalition information
  • Consider contacting movie theater in Waukon for potential advertising on screen, such as a HAWC event family friendly
  • Newspaper story in Postville Herald is out
  • Newspaper story in Waukon  Standard in progress
  • Wow Who Knew radio show with Learning Tree Center project currently playing
  • Start looping the Allamakee Community Foundation into coalition information
  • City Council presentations 1/6 Waterville, 1/13 Harpers Ferry
  • BOS presentation tbd
  • CCR&R legislative event is January 24 8 a.m. – noon
  • Day on the Hill is February 12 7-9 a.m.

Next Allamakee Child Care Coalition meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 30 at noon via zoom.
